Tell the Liberals: Stop the Sell Off and Stop the Cuts!

Public Sector

It’s time to stand up for Tasmania’s public services and public assets.

Earlier this month, Jeremy Rockliff and the Liberal Party launched an extraordinary attack on our public services and public assets.

The Liberals have a plan to sell off everything from the buses at Metro to the poles and wires at TasNetworks on the private market.

We know from the many failed privatisations in other states that privatisation just doesn’t work. It only ends up costing us more.

On top of this, Jeremy Rockliff has signalled up to 2,500 Tasmanian public sector workers could lose their jobs. He’s refusing to say who is safe and who will be sacked.

We’re calling on Tasmanians to use our easy email tool to send an email to your state Liberal Members of Parliament telling them to protect Tasmania: Stop the Sell Off and Stop the Cuts!

Show your support by clicking here.

This is a crucial opportunity for Tasmanians to come together to show Jeremy Rockliff and the Liberals that there is overwhelming community opposition to their privatisation and job cuts plans – plans that were never put to voters.

This why we need to you to take action TODAY.

Tasmanians only went to an election a year ago. Jeremy Rockliff and his Liberal mates have no mandate to sell off our public assets to private investors on the mainland or overseas. They have no mandate to put 2500 Tasmanians out of work.
If enough of us come together to show Rockliff and the Liberals that there is overwhelming community opposition to these extraordinary attacks on our public assets and jobs, then we can get them to back down.
