Following on from your industrial action last month, you forced the government to put an offer on the table, and we then came out to discuss your stance on what they had put forward.
At those membership meetings you made it clear that the government’s offer was unfair as it didn’t fully recognise all your years of service, didn’t recognise qualifications in some current HSO-5 positions and needed to have wages lifted to reflect the value you bring to the Department.
We met with the government following our meetings around the state to let them know that you were disappointed and what you needed to see addressed in their offer still.
Their final position is due at COB tomorrow, Friday 6 September. We’ve told them that if they don’t address your concerns, we will be lifting the suspension on industrial action and the bans will be back on.
If the government fails to listen to you and doesn’t address your concerns, industrial action will recommence at 7am on Wednesday 11 September.
