Negotiations have finally been completed for your new General Staff Agreement and it is ready to go out to vote - which means it is your turn to decide.

Here’s a quick recap about where we landed:

• There is no reduction or loss to any entitlements contained in your current Agreement and all undertakings given by Fair Work from last negotiations have been added to the new Agreement
• We agreed on a 3-year Agreement
• The wage offer is 5.75% for the first year (3.75% has already been paid so an extra 2% still to be paid, 3.75% for the second year and 3% for the third year. Melaleuca also agreed that the wage offer each year shall be increased as stated or the percentage increase awarded by Fair Work will be paid, whichever is greater
• Wording in the consultation clause was changed from “definite decision” to “preliminary decision” allowing for a more genuine consultation between all parties
• 2 days paid leave for delegates to attend delegate training
• A reference to the breastfeeding at work policy has also been added to the Agreement

So what happens next?

The access period to the proposed document is currently underway (meaning a copy of the document you are going to vote on should be available either in the staff room or via the office for you to look at).

Simone will also be holding information sessions for staff where you can raise any questions you may have. The next one will be held on Monday 16 September at 11:45am.
The vote will be held via ballot and each staff member will have a voting slip which you can obtain directly from the CEO’s office, which you can then pop in the box outside of the same office.

Voting opens at 10am on Tuesday 17 September and closes at 10am on Tuesday 1 October.

Remember, it is your Agreement so have your say by casting your vote.
