When HACSU members told us that Glenview was trying to start their new roster from next Monday (despite many of you not agreeing to change your hours) we immediately lodged a dispute with the Fair Work Commission.
Because of the pressure we put on Glenview, they’ve now been forced to commit to an undertaking at the commission, which means that if you didn’t agree to change your roster, you’re still able to work to your old roster and won’t be forced onto the new one.
Come Monday it means if you haven’t signed off on the new roster, then you’re free to turn up to work and finish at your usual times.
This is a huge win – and we couldn’t have done it without workers like you being union, getting involved and standing your ground.
Congratulations on speaking up!
